Kalgoorlie

Located about 600km East of Perth, Kalgoorlie-Boulder is Australia’s largest outback city and forms the central hub of Western Australia’s Goldfields region. With a population over 30,000 Kalgoorlie-Boulder has developed into a modern and thriving city offering many fantastic facilities, great lifestyle options and a vibrant social atmosphere enhanced by a range of restaurants, cafés and entertainment venues.

More commonly known as Kalgoorlie, the city is easily accessible by road and serviced by 3 commercial airlines (Qantas, Virgin and Skywest) and the Prospector rail service from Perth. The Indian Pacific train also stops in Kalgoorlie on its way to and from the Eastern States.

Education needs in Kalgoorlie are catered for by ten primary and four high schools throughout the City, as well as Curtin University, Curtin VTEC and the Western Australian School of Mines. There are also plenty of employment and business opportunities in Kalgoorlie through a wide range of industries including mining, manufacturing, hospitality, business and retail.

The city is also home to a diverse range of sporting and social clubs and offers many recreational facilities such as parks, sports ovals, the Goldfields Oasis aquatic centre & gym, and the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Racing Club which hosts the annual Kalgoorlie Race Round every September.
